I believe that no two people are the same, which is why I work collaboratively and tailor my approach to your unique needs. Drawing on a range of modalities, I will support you to uncover your own strengths, explore challenges, and find new ways forward.

I hold a Certificate in Counselling and am nearing completion of a Diploma in Integrative Counselling. Alongside my counselling training, I bring many years of academic and professional experience.

I have a PhD in Small Business Decision-Making, a Master’s of Research, and a BA (Hons) in Business Enterprise from Manchester Metropolitan University. I am also a Fellow of the Institute of Leadership and Management, an Academic Associate of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), and a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. My research and professional interests span psychology, people management, small business development, and teaching and learning – all of which enrich my understanding of people and their journeys.

I am a student member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work in placement at counselling practices in Cambridge and Dunmow. In all my one-to-one work, I adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework, ensuring that our sessions are compassionate, ethical, and centred on your well-being.

Frequently Asked Questions

Please contact us if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Whilst I complete my BACP qualification, I am only able to see clients within a placement context. This means I am not able to accept any new counselling clients until Autumn 2025. I can support individuals through coaching or personal development work, however I will be clear with you if I think you would be better suited to seeing a counsellor.

Professional coaching is a goal-focused, future-oriented process designed to support you in achieving personal or professional growth. It often involves clarifying goals, identifying strengths, overcoming obstacles, and developing actionable strategies.

Unlike counselling, which tends to explore emotional challenges, past experiences, and psychological well-being, coaching is not generally about healing or relational challenges. Instead, it focuses on performance, development, and potential, helping you to bridge the gap between where you are and where you want to be.

While both coaching and counselling offer support and promote self-awareness, counselling typically works at greater emotional depth, whereas coaching centres on forward movement and tangible outcomes.

What happens in our sessions is between us, however there are some circumstances where I may need to break confidentiality (such as a concern for someone's safety). I would go through this with you before we start working together.

In all my one-to-one work, I adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework, ensuring that our sessions are compassionate, ethical, and centred on your well-being.

The time that your coaching process will take depends on the complexity of your goals and your commitment and openness to your process.
